A quick and easy air fryer salmon recipe using just three ingredients that delivers perfectly crispy skin and juicy flesh in only 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 skin-on salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of garlic powder or smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat for about 3 minutes.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  3. Lightly brush both sides of each fillet with about 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked black pepper evenly on both sides. Optionally add garlic powder or smoked paprika.
  5. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on fillet thickness, until the salmon flakes easily and the skin is crisp.
  7. Carefully remove the salmon with tongs or a spatula and let rest for 1-2 minutes before serving.

Notes

Always pat salmon dry before oiling to ensure crispy skin. Preheat the air fryer to avoid soggy skin. Do not flip the salmon during cooking to keep skin crispy. Use skin-on fillets for best texture. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 2 days and reheat best in an air fryer or toaster oven to maintain crispiness.
