easy watermelon lemonade recipe - featured image

A quick and refreshing summer drink made with just three ingredients: watermelon, lemon, and water. Perfect for hot days and easy to prepare in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (600 grams) diced, seedless watermelon
  • 2 large lemons, juiced (about 1/3 cup or 80 ml)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold water, still or sparkling
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (600 grams) of seedless watermelon into chunks, removing any seeds if necessary.
  2. Place the watermelon chunks into a blender or food processor and blend on high for about 1 minute until smooth.
  3. Optional: Pour the blended watermelon through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp if desired.
  4. Roll 2 large lemons on the countertop, cut in half, and juice them into the pitcher, avoiding seeds.
  5. Add 1 cup (240 ml) of cold water—still or sparkling—and stir gently to combine.
  6. Add ice cubes if desired and chill the lemonade in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve cold, garnished with a lemon slice or small watermelon wedge.

Notes

Straining the watermelon juice is optional depending on your texture preference. If watermelon is not sweet enough, add a teaspoon of honey or agave syrup. Rolling lemons before juicing helps extract more juice. Serve immediately or chill for best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
