A rich, creamy dip featuring smoky bacon and sharp cheddar cheese, perfect for parties and quick gatherings. This dip combines a velvety texture with crispy bacon bits and melty cheddar for an irresistible flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, full fat
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise, regular or light
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 4 ounces)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled. Reserve a teaspoon of bacon fat if desired.
  2. Soften the cream cheese to room temperature or microwave for 15 seconds until soft.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until silky smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Gently fold in shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions until well combined.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld, preferably overnight.
  7. Before serving, stir gently and garnish with extra green onions or cheddar if desired. Serve with sturdy chips or fresh vegetable sticks.

Notes

Softening the cream cheese properly is key to a smooth texture. Use thick-cut bacon for extra crunch. Chill the dip for at least an hour or overnight for best flavor. Avoid over-blending to maintain texture. Pre-shredded cheese may affect melt and texture.
