A refreshing and spicy frozen mango treat combining sweet mango, tangy lime, and the signature chile twist of Tajin seasoning. Perfect for hot summer days and easy to make at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons Tajin seasoning, plus extra for sprinkling
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon chili powder for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop about 3 cups (roughly 450g) of ripe mango into chunks.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup (240 ml) water, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or agave syrup, 2 teaspoons (10 g) Tajin seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until the honey dissolves.
  3. Pour the mango chunks and the liquid mixture into a blender or food processor. Blend on high for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy but slightly thick and pourable.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as desired. Add more honey or Tajin if needed. If too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to loosen.
  5. Pour the mango mixture into paleta molds, leaving a small gap at the top. Insert sticks.
  6. Freeze the molds for at least 6 hours or overnight for best texture.
  7. To unmold, run molds under warm water for a few seconds and gently slide off the paletas. Sprinkle a pinch of Tajin on top before serving.

Notes

Use ripe mangoes for best flavor. If fresh mangoes are unavailable, frozen mango chunks work well. For creamier texture, add a splash of coconut milk before blending. Store paletas in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Let paletas sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving for easier eating.
