A light and festive punch bowl recipe combining fresh berries, sparkling wine, citrus, and a touch of sweetness, perfect for parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries; fresh or frozen)
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 cups chilled sparkling water or club soda
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • A handful of fresh mint leaves, torn

Instructions

  1. Rinse the berries under cold water and pat dry. Slice the orange and lemon into thin rounds, removing seeds if possible.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the white wine and orange juice. Stir gently to blend the flavors evenly.
  3. Pour in the simple syrup, then taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Stir well.
  4. Add the mixed berries and citrus slices into the punch bowl.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, remove the punch bowl from the fridge and pour in the chilled sparkling water or club soda. Add fresh mint leaves and gently stir to combine.
  7. Ladle the sangria punch into glasses, ensuring each serving has a few berries and a citrus slice. Add ice cubes if desired.

Notes

Add sparkling water just before serving to keep the fizz lively. Use ripe but firm berries to avoid cloudiness. Thinly slice citrus fruits to prevent bitterness. For a non-alcoholic version, replace white wine with sparkling white grape juice or extra sparkling water. Prepare base mixture up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate. Stir gently to preserve bubbles.
